Sometimes I am in the right place at the right time. As was the case when I caught this sunset at Civic Memorial Park in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Family was visiting. Our little one was baking cookies in the kitchen with her grandparents. A faint, pink glow shimmering outside our picture window caught my eye as I passed through my living room. The late afternoon sunset was going to be a good one. It would come and go quickly. Its stunning tones lasting just minutes. Taking advantage of my daughter’s distraction, I dashed out the door with my camera. I pulled into the Lebanon School District office parking lot on Seminary Hill and jumped out of the car. I was met by a small family skiing Bryar Field’s gentle slopes. They were kind enough to allow me to capture them in the background of my shots. Right moment, right time.…
After a rainy, slow trek to Cape Cod following Christmas, we were rewarded with an unseasonably warm, sunny day, and a trip to Millway Beach!
The conclusion, and certainly the grand finalé of my photo adventure was in Sugar Hill, New Hampshire. I had seen many images and heard of the area famous for its lupines and Harman’s Cheese & Country Store. I have been to various other towns in the White Mountains, but never Sugar Hill.
