With a rare day to myself, I set out on a photo adventure across Vermont and New Hampshire. I began in Bradford, Vermont, crossing over to Haverhill, New Hampshire, followed Route 10 to 302, and landed in Bath. Then I traveled east onto 117 to Sugar Hill. The morning began with a delicious breakfast at 4 Aces Diner in West Lebanon with my husband. I saw two ads on my paper placemat: one for The Brick Store in Bath, and the other for Harman’s Cheese and Country Store in Sugar Hill. I marked those as the day’s destination. Here are images from my visit to Bath, New Hampshire. The Brick Store is on the National Register of Historic Places. According to its website, it is the “oldest continuously operated general store in the United States.” You can read more about its history online.
